Positive parenting - A very important tool for child growth and development

Despite the global pandemic still flourishing around our environment, family members are still bound to stay at home most of the day. Government taking care of it’s people is more concerned for the youth in the country and that education institutes are still closed until further notice from the higher authorities. Due to this, children being at home during most time of the day can lead them to several mental issues which could have a negative impact on the family.
BDM International apart from granting quality education to students also looks forward to improve the well being of our students as well as students of different school. Proper parenting is important during such times to ensure a child’s mental state to be balanced and that they are not prone to any wrong activities.
1.       Be supportive – It is important for parents to support your child the most in such times. Children become afraid at times when being at home most of the times and that if they make any mistakes for their work, then tend to become more afraid. So it is best for parents to support your child more in such times.
2.       Your Involvements Matter –With being supportive, be involved in your child’s activity. This will make you sure as to what your child is doing and that you are sure how to help them when in trouble, Avoiding them to be afraid from tasks they are supposed to do.
3.       Healthy Lifestyle – When being at home whole day it is best for you to start exercising and teach your child the importance of exercising. This improves the blood circulation of your body and make your fit as well as healthy. Improving the immunity system in your body.
4.       Rewarding your child – After giving them any tasks for the day it is best for you to reward your child with something they want the most. This would please their hearts and make improve the trust level more.
5.       Do what you love – This comes especially from both the parent and child effort. When you find out what your child loves to do and what they aspire to become, it is best for you to support them make then understand how should they work in order to attain those achievements and continue to progress more much better.
6.       Let them discover things by themselves – Don’t always regulate your child in the activities they are doing on a day to day basis. It is also best for parents to let you child learn things by themselves. Give them the freedom in what they want to do and what they want to achieve in at. This makes their wisdom to grow and be matured over time.

Now a days the students are not getting enough time to live their childhood. It is getting lost with the pressure of excellence in every field. We plan a life for our kid and with that we impose an expectation on them where we ask them to excel in every single field of life? It is the young age where they grow drastically and the more they are into extracurricular activities, the more they evolve in their studies as well as they do it out of love and not out of expectation. It is always better to let them do something that they love to do. They would learn new things and it will help them in a holistic development. Activities keep a child active and engaged.
