Teachers at their best in Classroom at BDMI

In School, we don’t deal with inanimate objects, or robots or machinery. We deal with living, breathing, thinking, emotional and a tad bit over dramatic youngsters who deserve nothing less than very best. What we say and do in classroom has an impact and that is something which always matters. BDMI’s teachers follow some unique tricks to keep the class environment positive and bring the best out of each student.

One of the main tools of operation to keep the pulse of classroom positive is humour. Once we learn the trick to inject humour into our lessons at the right time and in the right context and actually get a laugh or two, we can feel relax. Once we relax, our happy attitude radiates throughout the classroom almost visibly changing bored looks and hunched shoulders into eager learners, who while waiting for our next punchline start to listen.

Another way to inject positivity is to make the learner feel ‘safe’ as soon as we walk in –Our positive attitude matters, Oour words have an effect, positivity helps the learner grow while negativity crushes. We must be the one who gives them the space to grow, where they feel free to speak up, participate and feel encouraged to be the best they can.

There is no failure. Only feedback. (Robert Allen) A positive classroom is only as good as a positive learner. We as teachers need to shed those preconceived notions which hinder our ability to accept the uniqueness of that learner.

A tool which always injects a
positive attitude in the classroom is relatability with a dash of goofiness. We can pretend to make mistakes and that we have found brings the learner to my side. Laugh at ourself once in a while and they will laugh with you, not at you!

The teachers at BDMI are the first line of protection for the learner. As a teacher, they are their final line of defense. They protect, and stress on kindness to make the students comfortable. If you want your child to be associated with this

Importance of Moral Values in Student’s Life

Moral Values are the worthy principles that one follows to distinguish the right from the wrong. These virtues are considered worthy in building up the character of an individual. Moral Value refers to the good virtues such as honesty, integrity, truthfulness, helpfulness, love, respectfulness, hard-work, etc. Students are the future of India. The future of our country depends upon the moral values convey to them during their student life. They will become doctors, politicians, business-person, engineers, scientists, etc., and hold important positions. Moral lessons should be properly implemented among students in school. Students have great observation power. They observe their parents at home and their teacher at school. They always repeat what they observe and this practice builds their character. The method of teaching moral values to students is universal. It is the most important duty of the teachers and parents. If a child observes his teachers/parents to be t...

Is there any difference between morning schools and day schools?

Quite a few proposals around improving performance the academic performance of students involve very costly interventions. Even though many of these surely come accurate on the cost-benefit tests, but they surely can be enormously challenging, both politically and economically, to ensure a successful functioning and implementation. A possible way involves changing the ways in which schools are conducted. For instance, in a recent policy proposal, Jacob and Rockoff suggest three low-cost ways to conduct schools that can ensure maximised student performance: i. clubbing elementary and middle schools into single buildings; ii. optimize teacher assignment; and iii. Starting the school in the later half of the day for middle and high school students. But more so than other, their third idea seems particularly actionable because it does not have the need of new buildings to be built, and the nature of teachers’ jobs would not significantly change. Schools that start elementary schools lat...
