BDM International’s events always carry the legacy that the school is bearing for last few decades. The investiture ceremony of the school is a perfect example of such thing. “Before you are a leader, success is all about growing yourself, when you become a leader, success is all about growing others’’- with this spirit in the heart and soul, B.D.M. International celebrated their Investiture Ceremony on the 25th day of August, 2017. This ceremony bestowed responsibility of leading the school with commitment, confidence and competence to the young talents. It was a solemn occasion where the young students were all prepared to march on the path of leadership and discharge the responsibilities entrusted upon them.
B.D.M. International was honoured to have Former Brigadier Balbir Singh and Colonel Amit Priyadarshi as the guests of honour. The ceremony began with the school song. The dignitaries were escorted to the stage by the band. The heads of the institution and the chief guests were felicitated. The main event followed next which showcased the pinning of the badges to the Head Boy, Head Girl, Prefects, Club Heads and House Heads. The Head Boy and Head Girl administered the oath with all the other heads repeating the oath and pledging for a new beginning. Is there any difference between morning schools and day schools?

Quite a few proposals around improving performance the academic performance of students involve very costly interventions. Even though many of these surely come accurate on the cost-benefit tests, but they surely can be enormously challenging, both politically and economically, to ensure a successful functioning and implementation. A possible way involves changing the ways in which schools are conducted. For instance, in a recent policy proposal, Jacob and Rockoff suggest three low-cost ways to conduct schools that can ensure maximised student performance: i. clubbing elementary and middle schools into single buildings; ii. optimize teacher assignment; and iii. Starting the school in the later half of the day for middle and high school students. But more so than other, their third idea seems particularly actionable because it does not have the need of new buildings to be built, and the nature of teachers’ jobs would not significantly change. Schools that start elementary schools lat...
