Vocabulary, a challenge for students-in context

Weak vocabulary among students is one of the key concerns raised by language teachers during the PTM in most of the schools. The blurring expertise has been a consistent theme in all the consultation sessions held with educators to comprehend execution of understudies in dialects.
It has been voiced by so many teachers that this actually sounded like one of the real time problems which teachers acknowledge very often. On further pondering and discussion with teachers, the scenario that comes to the surface is that, the direct linkage of reading habit with the dwindling vocabulary among students is the main cause of this. The further piece of writing is an attempt to internalise this thought as a learner and subsequently look at possible dynamics of learning to bolster the way a child can learn vocabulary as an expertise.
Words have always been a way to communicate beautifully and they lend a hand in garnishing the existing imagination of the speaker, be it communication within our without. It acts as a stimulus to contrast involuntary memory with voluntary memory. In all probability, this is more or less, a closer way of learning and responding to knowledge when we refer to meaningful learning. It connects through various schemas of facts or information, thus helping the speaker to arrive at a new knowledge through previously acquired knowledge with lesser impetus on memorizing or rote learning of information.
A recent research work on a group of people showed that the learners, presented with a list of few words, tend to cram up to augment their existing vocabulary. No doubt that people come across so many thwarted performances in vocabulary in a context as a skill. May be this is the reason that people now have forgotten to use different words for different expressions and every good things comes up to ‘awesome’. From a glass of lemonade to a good performance of an actor to a good book- Everything is simply ‘awesome’, with no new word or expression to sum it up! It is not the inability of the speaker to acknowledge and perceive the world but their frailty in aptly expressing the emotions. It might sound a bit exaggerated in saying that the world loses its’ shine owing to lack of apt words to express the emotions that the speaker feels, but it is only euphemistic to call it a crisis in the richness of conversations.

Another trend that is doing the rounds recently is that the more difficult a word, the more one is assumed to be having a better command on the language. It’s in vogue to flaunt the list of words one mugged up painstakingly and perhaps morbidly over the years, which is basically of no use. There is nothing like a difficult or an easy word.  A word is like a piece of a puzzle where it renders life to a sentence and makes it a meaningful one. It is the aptness of the word which will render beauty to communication than the length of the word.
We at BDM International, never impose anything on the student. We follow a friendly method of learning and easy communication for the students. We believe words are meant to be communicated and one should understand the message that is being conveyed to them. We can mould it in a more meaningful and better way only but making it sound difficult will not serve any purpose. Get your child admitted in BDMI and make them learn in a systematic and better way.

The child needs to attain the Spoken English class? Their body is not developing if is not joining Karate? And what about Singing classes? Then when will it be on Recitation? The inner artist needs to join the Drawing classes also right? That leaves us with the dancing classes also! Why leave aside Sundays? Now a days the students are not getting enough time to live their childhood. It is getting lost with the pressure of excellence in every field. We plan a life for our kid and with that we impose an expectation on them where we ask them to excel in every single field of life? It is the young age where they grow drastically and the more they are into extracurricular activities, the more they evolve in their studies as well as they do it out of love and not out of expectation. It is always better to let them do something that they love to do. They would learn new things and it will help them in a holistic development. Activities keep a child active and engaged. Meditation Helps to Develop Children’s Brain and Behaviour

Meditation gives young children the feeling of being quiet and still. It gives them time to breathe and imagine. In fact, through meditation children learn that it is okay to be whoever they are and feel whatever they feel. Here are few of the benefits of Children’s Meditation 1.       Increase Focus: Now days children are not focused in one subject. They are not so much attentive in their work, between social media and technological gadgets, kids – and adults – are constantly surfing the internet, interacting via social media and playing video games indoors instead of reading a book, taking a walk or playing sports.   Meditation teaches them that it’s possible to direct their attention at one thing at a time, and that it actually feels great not to be distracted. 2.       Boosting Confidence: The confidence develops naturally when kids learn from their meditation practice that they don’t have to react to all of their thoughts and emotions – they can choose which ones merit

Importance of Social Studies in Early Education

In the past few decade, it has been seen that social studies have been given less importance by teachers to teach students this subject where this subject is of equal important than that of the other subjects like Science, Maths, Commerce and Arts. It helps in developing the students thought process of how the world works and make them wiser as to how to implement the strategy so as to make the world a better place. This subject deals in the teaching of how a person can learn to become a proper human being.   A respected individual by the mass people. It looks into explaining the students how people differ from one another in terms of behaviour, thinking-attitude, culturally and religiously. So as to show respect to one another and to continue their daily work smoothly. Through this, it is seen that it helps people to be more wise enough daily.
